1) Version

Tournament uses latest release of the game. Player can also use mobile version of the game. During this tournament, minimum requirement is version 1.9.

2) Schedule and forums

Games are played at time of Finland (UTC+2) Helsinki. https://www.timeanddate.com/
Tournament`s main forum is pelikaista.fi. If problems occur, kalassa.net is used as spare forum.

Games will start at 20.00 time of Finland (games against Mongolia are at 18.00) time of Finland. Gamedays are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This information will be explained in more detail when the match schedule is published. Possible changes are informed if needed.

Last date for a team application is: 13.03.2023
Tournament starting date: 21.03.2023

3) Team application

Each team has max capacity of 14 players. Any country is invited to take part, except Russia and Belarus. Meaning that player cannot be Russian/Belarussian and has not participated any games under those flags (added 23.01). Only ONE team from each country! Players cannot be changed after the told deadline. Substitutions are allowed between maps. Team should take care, that they have player who has host available and a person, who can understand English. Team`s captain is the contact person unless captain has named somebody else. Team information must show the captains, other players and contact person info (if he/she is somebody else than captain). If you have any questions or problems related to team application, please contact the organizers immediately!

4) Hosting instructions

Team who hosts the game, informs the IP-address to the topic created for those ( I will make a own thread to IP:s and playlogs later). IP-address should be informed at the latest 15 minutes before the game starts. Host should be opened 10 minutes before the game begins. Primarily home team hosts the game. If they can`t host the game for some reason, opponent can do it also. Home team must send the playlogs into assigned topic to them, regardless they host the game or not. Final and Bronze game will be played at neutral hosts who are not playing (named later). There is always 5min break between the maps. Host has to ask in a public chat ”go?” when 5min timer is in 0.00. Teams answer ”yes”, ”go” or something which tells clearly (in English) the answer. Team can also ask ”1 min please” if they need extra time for something. You can`t ask more extra time during the same break.

Host`s network records should always be OFF. /results command is not allowed to use and must always be OFF. Remember to enable the /lures all and /auto ban on commands!

5) Connection problems

If player`s connection is lost during the map, player is out of the match. Player can return to the game, but team is not allowed to substitute a new player during the map. If problems occur more than 4 players during the start, there will be a 1 restart. If the same player is continually having problems with start, no restart is performed. If the host crashes during the map, map will be played again. If host is going to be changed, inform the new IP-address in a currently used forum, unless opponent has received it.

6) Format

Format is 10 vs 10 (meaning 10 players from both teams at once on ice). Small points are 14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. For a victory team receives 2 points, for a draw 1 point, for a defeat 0 points. If some players take the same place, points are scored according to taken places, for example, 3 players take 3rd place, each player receive 10 points.

7) Group stage and possible quarterfinal

If there are under 8 teams, there will be one group. If 8 or more teams take part, teams are randomized into two groups. Every team plays one game against their group`s teams. Teams can agree different clock time/day for the game, if needed. Two best teams from both groups are going to the semifinals (in one group, four best teams). Group stage includes 3x30 maps per round. If teams have the same number of points after group stage has ended, order is defined by following ways:

  • Mutual game (points, then small points).
  • Relation of the small points from all games (+/-) difference.
  • More collected small points from all games.
Quarterfinal will not be played unless there are at least 11 teams in a tournament! In this case 4 teams from each group are going to the quarterfinals. Quarterfinal includes the same map format as in semifinals (5x30). Pairs would be A1-B4, B1-A4, A2-B3, B2-A3.


7.2) Semifinals

If four teams are from one group (1-4, 2-3). If four teams are from two groups (A1-B2, B1-A2). If four teams are from quarterfinal (A1/B4-B2/A3, B1/A4-A2/B3).

Semifinal is the best of 5 maps. Team must win 3 maps in total to be able to go to the finals. After 3 map wins, there is no need to continue the game.

Semifinal game 1 = 2x30min
Semifinal game 2= 3x30min (will be played as long as needed)

7.3) Final and Bronze game

Final is the best of 7 maps. Team must win 4 maps in total to become a world champion. After 4 map wins, there is no need to continue the game.

Final game 1 = 3x30
Final game 2 (will be played as long as needed) = 4x30

Bronze = 3x30 (1 game.) Bronze game includes same maps as in Final game 1.

In playoffs, if teams have same number of points and small points after the playoff Serie, there will be overtime map. Overtime map will be raffled after the official results are published. Game day is determined then. Overtime map is all species/normal.

8) Maps and game types


In every stage of the tournament are 30min maps. Map sizes are categorized into small, medium and large per game at the group stage. Medium and large maps are preferred in playoffs, but small maps are still possible. Every round includes all seasons (autumn, winter and spring). The lottery of the maps will be done with excel. Neutral help organizer will monitor the event. The presence of a witness is always guaranteed that the other organizer can possibly participate in the tournament. All maps are revealed one week before the tournament begins (at the latest).
There will be a special game type in every round. Several different game types are played during the tournament, but most of the maps are all species/normal. Banned game types= Area game, biggest fish, biggest carp family fish, 3 biggest fish, only rainbow trout, only silver bream, weight and any zander/pike game type.

9) Chatting

Public chat is allowed to use during the map, but private messaging is recommended. If there is a need to communicate with opponent, use language what everyone can understand. English is highly recommended to avoid misunderstandings. Do not use any chat to disturb opponent.

10) Player and host mistakes/punishments

= Team has 1 minute time limit to react to the mistake and delete necessary players. If the mistake is not fixed until the map has proceed a one minute, team will automatically lose the map 78-0. Please note, host is allowed to rest on a start area, if he/she is not playing.

Team uses unregistered player= Every result from that player will be disqualified and team will be warned. If this happens again, whole team will be disqualified (78-0) from every map from that specific round, where they have used unregistered player.

Bad behavior, verbal abuse= Warning or suspension for one game, second time will lead two game’s suspension.

Threatening, racism, etc. so-called serious actions= Suspension for 3-4 games. If the whole team is founded guilty, team is thrown out of the tournament.

Wrong map or wrong settings= If the hosting team selects wrong map or wrong settings to the map, they will lose the map automatically 78-0, unless the map is restarted and fixed before 1 minute has gone by.

/results command has been forgotten to ON position= Warning, opponent decides, whether map is going to played until end or will there be rematch of the map. Next mistakes from violating this rule will cause automatic disqualification of the map (78-0) to the team, who hosted the game.

The distances between players are regulated by the game itself. It is a punishable action from the player to drill a minimum of 3 holes within 90 seconds in the immediate vicinity of one of the players. First drilled hole during the map is not included to this rule. Before mentioned action will be seen as disruptive drilling= First time leads to the warning, second time a one game suspension and third time will cause team to lose on the map (78-0), where the disruptive drilling occurred.

11) Protests

Team has a 24-hour time limit to send the protest about the results or something else after the game has ended. Protest must send to the main organizer (Tonza_888) via private message in pelikaista.fi/propilkki.pl. Protest will be checked, and the solution comes out before the next match. Chatlogs, screenshots etc. are recommended and even required in some cases, but they don`t guarantee protest’s approval. All cases will be dealt among the organizers and Mikko -Procyon- has the last decision if needed. There is no possibility to complain about the decisions.
